Quick and Easy Organizing Tips For Your Kid’s Room

Friday, February 29th, 2008

By Cassandra Germsheid Over the course of a year, kids can accumulate so many toys, games, dolls and stuffed animals that it can be overwhelming. Even if you rarely buy things for your own child, there are still birthdays and holidays which usually means your house is bursting at the seams with new toys. It’s hard to know where to put everything, and if you’re a sentimental person, it can be hard to let go of older toys to make room for new ones. To help avoid this problem, here are some easy tips to help you keep your kid’s room organized, even after birthdays and holidays. First thing’s first. You’re going to need storage. Some bedrooms don’t have closets, so you may want to buy shelves and bins. Shelves are great for storing things that you don’t want them to play with, like diapers, clothes and other baby or kid accessories. You can find all kinds of different colored bins to add to the decor of your child’s room that provide fun places to store toys. Clear bins are great because they allow your child to see which toys are in which bins. Hopefully this will prevent all the toys from being scattered all over the floor in the search for one specific toy. Putting labels on them will help you out when you need to do a quick clean up. Some kids can get quite a collection of stuffed animals going, but it can be hard to find a place to put them. When I was a kid, my mother sewed some string to the head of each animal and hung them up on my walls with push pins. If your child likes to play with them regularly, you can also purchase big Rubbermaid containers with lids at a very affordable price. Under-the-bed storage is a great alternative for very small rooms. Toys that aren’t played with as often can be stored under here. It’s also a great place to store out of season clothes. Having storage under a child’s bed can also eliminate the opportunity for them to store garbage or important school documents where you’ll never find them. You can also purchase plastic bins with several containers stacked vertically. Look for the kind with wheels and handles. This will make it easier to move it around when you’re cleaning. This will also help your child to learn organizational skills by keeping items separated in each bin. Legos in one bin, puzzles and games in another, and so on. Another great storage option are cube ottomans. They come in a variety of colors and the lid flips over to become a tray. Not only does this provide another method of storage, but seating options as well. You can also find round ottomans to add some fun style to a room without compromising space. Take your kids shopping with you and ask them to pick out some fun bins, baskets and other storage accessories. Getting them involved in organizing their own room will hopefully help them to keep it clean which will make your job a lot easier. Another tip to keep the toys at bay is to get rid of older toys every time some new ones come in. There are plenty of organizations that accept donated toys, and this could give your child a very positive feeling that they’ve done something for someone else. Any toys that are broken should be thrown away. One thing that can be hard to deal with is getting rid of toys that have sentimental value. What you have to remember is that every toy creates memories, but they will always be with you in your mind, not in the actual toy. You may want to keep a box stored away for really special toys that were gifts or that have a special story, but don’t let it become more than one box. By keeping every toy and article of clothing your child has ever received, you’re passing on these tendencies to your child. It’s much easier to avoid developing the pack-rat habit than it is to break it. In the end you’ll be glad you did, and you’ll have a much cleaner and more organized kids room to show for it! God Holds All the Pieces

Friday, February 29th, 2008

By Ann Shorb Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. I love jigsaw puzzles! Its so much fun to open a new puzzle and run my fingers through the box, making sure all the pieces are separated. Then I spread them out on the table and start sorting them by color, design and texture until I have a multitude of piles. Of course, I start by finding the edge pieces and making the frame. Thats the easy part! Then patiently, carefully, gradually the scene unfolds as one by one each piece goes into place. One time our family did a very large puzzle that took days to piece together. With great excitement we slipped the last few pieces in place, only to discover that the very last piece was missing! We looked high and low but it just wasnt anywhere to be found. I kept hoping one of the children was playing a trick on us and was hiding the missing piece in his hand. But no, the piece was simply gone, leaving us with an incomplete picture on the table. I was frustrated and frazzled! Much of life is like a puzzle. Its easy to focus only on bits and pieces and fail to look toward the end result. Or when things dont seem to come together and the gaps in the picture produce confusion, life may seem hopeless or out of control. Gradually depression and anxiety creep in and steal away the joy and peace of the present, and the hope for the future. But God is in control. Hes the One holding all of the pieces, and at just the right time, He can and will put them in place to make a beautiful picture out of even the most difficult and trying situation. His thoughts are not our thoughts. His ways are not our ways. His plan and purpose are much higher than anything you and I can comprehend. We can rest assured that one day He will slip that last piece into place and the picture of life will be complete. With God, there are no missing pieces. What comfort to know that He holds all the pieces in His sovereign hands. Not one of them is lost or misplaced. Husbands and Wives - Love Each Other!

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

By Patricia Nordman “Husbands, love your wives. Avoid any bitterness toward them” (Colossians 3:19). The story is told of the discontented husband who fortunately went to a Christian friend for advice about a divorce. This wise man told him, “Go home and court your wife for a year and then tell me the result.” A year later the grateful man went back to his friend and thanked him for the good counsel. The friend advised him, “I hope you will continue to court your wife as long as you live.” Authority permitted by God can quickly degenerate into authoritarianism that makes life a hell on earth for both partners. The lady of the house responds to compassion and passion, in that order. True authority leads rather than pushes; it directs rather than controls; and it requests rather than demands. If the husband is miserly and miserable, he can hardly expect an abundant crop of love, for what we sow in the way of philos and philanthropy in the home, that will we reap in abundance of cherishment and appreciation. It is only a mean-spirited wife who will not respond to Christ in her beloved husband. Conversely, the husband is entitled (what I call marital entitlements) to the same endearments. And no thats womens work or mens work mentality, please. It is love that pushes the vacuum cleaner or the lawn mower when the spouse needs help. I have a beloved sister-in-law who amazes me. Her husband has been ill for quite a few years now, and she mows the lawn and does a few more of what I call the men-chores. One more bit of advice, Spouses and Lovers: Dont wait until the morning of Valentines Day and then run to the grocery store and buy flowers that are on sale and then present them to your beloved while you tell him/her you found them on sale! I can guarantee you that you have gone down several notches for that one! Every Pharmaceutical Drug LEECHES Nutrients From Your Body

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Dave_Saunders] Dave Saunders Are you currently on one or more pharmaceutical drugs? Perhaps you are not aware, but every pharmaceutical drug depletes the body of various nutrients, depriving your cells of the essential raw materials which drive normal, natural cell function. The data on our industrialized food supply already suggestes that each of us is not getting enough nutrition from diet alone. If you’re taking one or more pharmaceutical drugs, your situtation is likely to be even worse. In the Drug-Induced Nutrient Depletion Handbook the following information is listed. “HMG CoA Reductase Inhibitors delete the body of Coenzyme Q10, an important nutrient, and that result of this depletion could lead to mitochondrial dysfunction, decreased body function, and decreased cardiac output.” How could that be affecting your life if you are currently on one of those drugs? Perhaps you should consider a high-quality supplement that contains Qoenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) so make up for your depletion. If you found our your were iron deficient (anemic), you’d probably take an iron supplement, right? Other items listed in the Drug-Induced Nutrient Depletion Handbook. “Many anticonvulsants cause a depletion of Vitamin D, folic acid, and calcium. Depleting these nutrients has the potential to cause problems such as osteoporosis, muscle weakness, blood pressure irregularities, and heart disease.” In this case, perhaps you should consider a high-quality multivitamin supplement to simply replace the nutrients your body needs. “Almost every antibiotic causes a disruption of normal bowel flora and a reduction in the production of important vitamins, leading to diarrhea and other gastrointestinal side effects.” I have a personal experience where my life was saved through antibiotics, but I certainly experienced these side effects. Fortunately there are quality bowel flora supplements which help provide the body with normal levels of intestinal bacteria. This is critical in the metabolization of many vitamins, such as the Vitamin B family. Here’s what the Drug-Induced Nutrient Depletion Handbook has to say about Estrogen Replacement Therapy. “Taking Estrogen Replacement Therapy can cause a depletion of important B vitamins, leadingto anxiety, depression, cardiovascular disease, and depression.” Again perhaps you should choose a high-quality multivitamin supplement and also provide the nutrients that support normal endocrine function. The Drug-Induced Nutrient Depletion Handbook provides a drug index, which alphabetically lists drugs by both brand and generic name, with cross-references and the scientific basis, studies and abstracts for the research which determined which nutrients are depleted by the particular drug. It also lists nutrient information with concise descriptions of the effects of depletion. What medications are you taking that are depriving your body of essential nutrients? They Really Are More than Just Lawn Mowers

Monday, February 25th, 2008

By Susan Fielding Everyone should now be aware that there are two main types of lawnmower that one can use for the purpose of normal yard work. These two types are cylinder and rotary. There are other types of mower, such as flails, but are used mostly for the heavier jobs. Let us first have a brief look at the rotary version of the lawn mower. Whilst you would not normally associate them with the maintenance of fine turf, these machines do have their pros. For starters, they are very simple machines. What could be simpler than a large cutting blade, securely fastened to the crank of the motor, spinning around at a fast rate, and managing to clear everything in its path? There is no initial setup required, just put the gas in and give it a spin. These kinds of mowers are extremely diverse in their scope. If you have for example, a decent sized lawn area, then a rotary is what you should purchase. They also give you the option of raising and lowering the blade, to cut your lawn to the desired height. On the other hand, if the rotary mower does not provide you with the type of lawn that you are looking for, you can then go with a cylinder lawn mower. You might ask yourself, what is the attraction of the cylinder mower? This is a simple answer, and that is that it gives a much better cut. Some golf courses use rotaries on the fairways now, but a greens keeper probably would not ever use one on the green or tee. This is due to the fact that cylinder mowers will cut the grass nice and neatly, and the rotary type mauls the grass. So if you are a person who takes the utmost pride in your lawn, the cylinder lawn mowers will give you the best cut you can get. You do not have to go out and spend an enormous amount of money on one of these, but for around $1200-$1500, you can get yourself a lawnmower that will give you a great lawn cut each time, and it is well worth the price. Each time that you cut your lawn with this kind of lawn machine, your yard, if cultivated properly, can wind up looking like a golf course or baseball field. Taking pride in your work will never be as easy. Wedding Invitation Verses: Rhyme Your Way to Love

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

By Rebecca Foster Wedding invitations require a lot of thinking in order to be perfect for your ceremony. Why? Because to achieve perfection, your invitations must really represent your marriage. They must speak for you and not about you or about the reception or the ceremony or anything… Although I always recommend my clients not to use wordings from other wedding invitations, some wedding invitation verses can be modified for your convenience. Below I will list a few verses I like that you may use or modify to include it in your wedding invitations. In the spirit of the season We have found the perfect reason To gather our friends and family To celebrate all in harmony… Our wedding day, A new life has a start We’ll share with each other One love, one dream, One heart… The adventure has begun to share all the days of our lives As we shall become one as the moment arrives… The weather outside may be frightful but the wedding inside will be delightful… What begun only as fun Has become true love We want our friends and family to get a hold of Ourselves as we become one… It is a good idea to begin your wedding invitations with these kinds of verses because it gives your cards more personality. Instead of starting out your invitation with your name’s or something like that, start them with a quick rhyme to lighten up your guests; use creative wording for wedding invitations. The verses listed above are somewhat generic and might not suit your invitation. That is why you must think of something that combines with you, your partner and the wedding theme. Aside from you invitation wording, including a picture is also a good idea, but you have to be careful it doesn’t look too cheesy. I recommend you to go to a professional and ask him o her to take your pictures. Rebecca Foster is an expert in wedding invitations. Online Pharmacies are Making it Possible for Internet Consumers to Acquire Prescriptions Online

Sunday, February 17th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=William_Wrigley] William Wrigley Internet Pharmacies are convenient and quick, but some websites selling prescriptions may be putting your health at risk. Consumers must take into account risk factors involved with ordering prescriptions online. Consumers should be careful when ordering their prescription medication online. When acquiring prescriptions online, many safety factors must be considered. One should make sure that the pharmacy is U.S. state-licensed. Unlicensed online pharmacies are more likely to diagnose the consumer with false information. Many online consumers have complained of personal information being stolen from unprotected, unlicensed pharmacies. Some prescriptions sold online could be phony and may contain dangerous ingredients. Unlicensed pharmacies have been found to prescribe expired, unapproved drugs, and drugs that are too weak or too strong. There have also been cases of drugs being labeled and stored improperly, allowing the consumer to receive the wrong prescription. Many of these counterfeit drugs are produced using unsafe production standards. Precautions should be taken when ordering prescriptions online. Use only medicine that has been prescribed by a U.S. licensed physician or online pharmacy. Make sure the source of the online pharmacy is known. Stay away from pharmacies from countries outside the United States. Due to strict medical standards in the U.S., safety is the major concern. www.the-online-pharmacy.ws William Wrigley, public relations consultant The Online Pharmacy 480-961-9337 [http://www.the-online-pharmacy.ws] http://www.the-online-pharmacy.ws Article Source: [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=William_Wrigley ] http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=William_Wrigley [http://ezinearticles.com/?Online-Pharmacies-are-Making-it-Possible-for-Internet-Consumers-to-Acquire-Prescriptions-Online&id=54947 ] http://EzineArticles.com/?Online-Pharmacies-are-Making-it-Possible-for-Internet-Consumers-to-Acquire-Prescriptions-Online&id=54947 low cost phentermine no prescription somewhere that sells phentermine diet pills phentermine online without rx cheap phentermine 37.5

Three Things to Know About Refinancing Auto Loans

Friday, February 15th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carrie_Reeder]Carrie Reeder When most people think about refinancing, they think about home refinancing. What borrowers dont realize is that auto loans can be refinanced to. In fact, auto loan refinancing is one of the easiest ways to save money on your monthly bills. If you are beginning to consider the possibility, here are three things you should know about refinancing auto loans. Refinancing Lowers Your Payment Auto loan refinance is just like home refinance. You pay off your current auto loan with a refinance loan from another lender who can offer you a lower interest rate. When refinancing auto loans, most people find that they are able to save money on interest, which in turn, lowers their monthly loan payment. Lowering your monthly payment may enable you to pay off your auto loan sooner than you ever thought possible. Refinancing Can Help Your Credit Credit issues are commonplace in todays world. Many people have less than perfect credit, but they still need auto loans. Unfortunately, bad credit usually means higher interest rates. If your credit score was poor when you first got your auto loan, but has since improved, you may want to consider refinance. Now that you have better credit, you will probably be eligible for a lower interest rate. Once you have refinanced your loan, you can put the money that you save towards other debt, which will allow you to better your credit even further. Refinancing Requires No Appraisal Many people are nervous about the thought of refinancing auto loans, because they fear that they will be subject to an appraisal. Fortunately, that is not the case. Though auto loan refinancing is similar to home refinancing, no appraisal is required. When refinancing auto loans, the loan amount that you receive is based on how much you need to pay off your current auto loan, not on the value of the auto itself. Here is a list of recommended [http://www.abcloanguide.com/autoloans.shtml]Auto Loan Lenders online. It’s important to use a reputable lender online to make sure your personal information is secure.
